driving, kyrgyzstan:

I'm so excited to be finally sharing Kyrgyzstan with you! It was one of the highlights of our trip  (EVERY country was truly amazing, but for some reason I have a bit of a soft spot for this gorgeous place).
This first set of photos is when we first entered the land of mountains (approx. 95% of Kyrgyzstan is mountainous!). It changes instantly once over the border, from the arid desert/mountain terrain of western China, to lush green hills and more mountains. This dramatic landscape, plus the yurts dotted throughout and the menagerie of livestock that were roaming around (no fences at all) was just crazy beautiful. Andrew and I both didn't know where to look, as we tried to take all the beauty in. Total over-use of the word, but really, AMAZING!

So there really isn't much variety in angles and subject matter in these photos, but this was our first day and our first view of Kyrgyzstan. Enjoy.

Next: Kyrgyzstan's captial, Bishkek.
