new york, usa:

top of the rock

When planning our trip, we weren't quite sure what other country we should visit after Mexico. Guatemala and Cuba were strong contenders, however both Andy and I had actually never visited the Untied States before (I know, right!). We thought we'd be crazy not to spend a bit of time in the USA, especially as we had to fly in and out of there to get to Mexico!
We flew from Mexico City to New York where we spent five days (and not long enough) exploring as much of Manhattan and Brooklyn as possible. We left in love and with a feeling we barely scratched the surface of what NYC has to offer.

Over the next few posts I'll be sharing photos from Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx (okay, so just Yankee Stadium) before a quick stop in Los Angeles.

This first post is a sample of our first day-day and a half exploring NYC.

next: much more from New York!
