binzhou, china:

I'm going to share some quick posts from some of the cities I visited whilst away recently for work. It was a whirlwind trip, covering some serious distance in two weeks, so I didn't get to really take a  whole heap of photos (I did have to work after all!), but I did get to take a sneaky few.

First up is Binzhou, China. Binzhou is an industrial city in Shandong province, about a three hour drive from Beijing in northern China. It's not on the tourist map at all. The reason for my time in Binzhou was to visit a couple of textile factories and get the low-down on all the latest with our team over there and have meetings etc. lots of work stuff! While Binzhou isn't a tourist town, and may not have any famous sights, I still find it interesting and often find little pockets of colour and pattern that grab my eye.

Another thing I wanted to play with  in the next couple of posts is integrating some hand drawn/created elements - patterns, repeats, sketches, experiments, stuff that I was inspired by and have played with while being on the road (aka in the air) to add something a little new. Let me know what you think and if you want to see more.

Enjoy!

next: Amsterdam
