i'm back:

luang prabang, laos

So I just got back home yesterday from a 10-day trip to celebrate my mum's 50th birthday. As I mentioned before it was surprise trip, with the destination not being revealed until we all arrived at the airport.
So where did where go? Laos!
Luang Prabang to be exact, with some time spent in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on a stop over while on our way to Hanoi, Vietnam, where we spent two days at the end of the trip.
To fly into Luang Prabang we could either go direct from Hanoi or Bangkok, and chose Hanoi as mum had always wanted to visit.

It was an incredible trip and so great to return to two of my favourite cities, Laung Prabang and Hanoi, which I hadn't been to in quite a while. It was very special to spend such quality time with my mum and sister, and it'll be something we will never forget.

I'll start posting photos of the trip from next week. Below are just a few Instagram shots of some trip highlights.

Also, I was super honoured to be profiled and featured on Charlotte Minty's blog, sharing what inspires me. You can check that out here.

Enjoy.

  3. So jealous! I never made it to Luang Prabang (got so sick in Vientiane that we were flying back to BKK earlier), but I know - one day I will go! Stunning shots and I can't wait to see more! Hanoi old town is one of the most photogenic places I have been, and Halong Bay? No words!! Stunning!

    Welcome back!! Kristina x

    1. I'll admit at one stage I thought we were perhaps being a little too adventurous before we left - but she loved it! Laos is so chilled and a great intro to Asia.
