More snaps from our time in Budapest!
We walked absolutely everywhere, trying to take in as much as we could. We loved wandering and made our way around the Jewish quarter, the inner areas of Pest and then over the Danube to hilly Buda, where we spent a balmy afternoon at the stunning Fisherman's Bastion. We sampled the many ruin bars, bought a picnic lunch from the huge Central Market hall and ate cake at the famous Cafe New York. We packed it in and cannot wait to return in the near future for more of gorgeous Budapest.
next: Croatia!
Eeek, it's been so long since posts!
Happy 2016 all, and let's continue form where we left off!
We left Copenhagen and headed east for Budapest. Andrew and I had both been wanting to visit Budapest for so long, so we were super excited to check it out. We met up with our friend, Joci, who kindly took us on a bit of a walking tour around Pest side of the Danube river. We wandered the streets, taking in the different architectural details and just soaked up the vibe of the city, getting our bearings for more exploring. It was such a great introduction to the city and had us excited to see more!
next: more from Budapest and then it's on to Croatia and Venice.
