Ahh, New Zealand. The perfect place to finish the year, recharging and relaxing, ready to see in 2014!
For the majority of our time New Zealand we stayed in Andrew's hometown of Dunedin, spending precious time with his family and catching up with friends, before moving to Central Otago and spending time in Queenstown and Wanaka. I was also super excited to get back and stay in our cabin, which we had rejuvenated last summer.
In my opinion Dunedin is a bit of an underrated city and destination. So I really want to show it off in my next few posts and encourage everyone to add it to their must-see list when in New Zealand.
One of Dunedin's highlights has to be it's abundant coastline, with many ruggedly beautiful beaches to explore. Below are some photos from our first few days in Dunedin, with Andrew surfing at one of his favourite breaks, Black Head, and exploring a few other beaches such as Tunnel Beach. As you can see the weather wasn't all sunshine and blue skies, however I have to admit the grey skies definitely added to the coast's wild ruggedness.
next: more from Dunedin.

Dunedin looks absolutely stunning. When I went to NZ a few years ago, I missed out on it because, after 2 weeks road tripping from the north island to the south island, we reached Queenstown and were knackered. We stayed more time in the city than we had initially accounted for... I do intend to return to the country anyway - and Dunedin will be on the top of my list this time!
