The Bay of Fires. Isn't that just the best name for an area, ever?
Located on the north-east coast of Tasmania, and about two hours drive east of Launceston, the Bay of Fires has to be on the of most spectacular places I have been to. With the combination of crystal clear sea, bright red boulders, snow white sand and not a person in sight, Andy and I both fell utterly in love. The bay comprises of many beaches, some small and some large, but all beautiful in their own way. You pretty much have the place to yourself which makes exploring and discovery all the more exciting. It truly is beautiful, and the photos don't do it justice unfortunately.

cradle mountain, tasmania:

Two weeks ago, Andy and I headed down to Tasmania for an extended weekend break. We spent five days driving from Launceston, in the north, down to Hobart, taking in as much of the sublime landscape as possible. We were both so blown away by Tasmania's beauty and wished we planned for a longer trip. However, it made for a great little taster and we can't wait to return!

Our first stop was Cradle Mountain, about two and a half hours drive west of Launceston. As we climbed in altitude, the weather started turning, meaning we could't really see the mountain - only a tiny glimpse as the clouds moved through. But it was so ruggedly beautiful! Set behind picturesque Dove Lake, there are many different walks available, all taking in the unique landscape and wildlife. So stunning.

frankfurt, germany:

Frankfurt was the last of our European stops before heading home via Shanghai. The only other time I have been to Frankfurt is in the middle of winter, so it was much more pleasant visiting in the Spring, especially down by the river. It was only a super short visit, but it was nice. 

This is the last post from my very quick visit to Europe, and I hope to return, for a holiday rather then work. One day soon, I hope!

oh lisbon:

So it's no big secret that I adore Lisbon, Portugal (as seen here and here). I just love the city and this visit was no exception. It was a kind reminder that I really need to plan a proper trip to Portugal with more time to explore the whole country and show Andrew what I keep on raving about. 
Sadly, I didn't get much time to photograph the city like I did last visit, but below are a few snaps of details that caught my eye.
