Our last day, and my last post from our time in Copenhagen, had us travelling north outside of the city to visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art and famed Danish designer Arne Jacobsen's Skovshoved Petrol Station, built in 1936.
It was great to get out of the city and explore some a new areas. Our visit to the Louisiana ended up being the highlight of our stay in Denmark, and is probably now one of my favourite galleries. Set on the coast, amongst leafy birch trees, the space is open and comprised of various pavilions, all containing unique and interesting collections. There is also an impressive and beautiful sculpture garden, which had me dreaming of a garden of my own (one day!).
Our stop off at the petrol station was fun and had us walking through another suburban area. It's not often that you would seek out a particular petrol station but this one was worth it, as you can see from the photos below. I'd gladly fill up here anytime!
That's it from our visit to Copenhagen. Absolutely loved it and cannot wait to return one day soon.
